Acrania, is characterized by partial or complete absence of the calvarium with abnormal brain tissue development. The amniotic band syndrome is a collection of fetal malformations associated with fibrous bands that appear to entrap or entangle various fetal parts in utero and can affect any organ or system and cause a single or multiple anomalies. In the case reported here, the amniotic membrane was well fused to the scalp, and skull bones were abscent above the site of the attachment. Prenatal diagnosis of acrania with the visualization of the amniotic band attached to it is an extremely rare event.
We experienced one case of acrania with amniotic band diagnosed by Prenatal Ultrasonography, and report this with brief review of the literatures.

무두개증은 뇌조직이 비정상적으로 발달되고 두개관이 부분적 또는 완전히 결손된 선천성 기형을 말하며, 임신 중기에 산전초음파상 태아뇌조직은 있으나 이를 둘러싸고 있는 두개골이 보이지 않을 경우 무두개증을 진단할 수 있다. 양막대증후군
(amniotic band syndrome)은 양막 파열로 인해 융모막 측에서 형성된 양막의 중배엽성 섬유대가 태아의 여러 부분에 부착되거나 얽혀서 그 부분의 변형, 기형이 발생하여 태아나 신생아에게 치명적인 손상을 초래하는 질환이다. 본 증례에서는 양막이 태아의 두피와 얽혀 부착된 부위 위로 두개골이 결손된 기형을 초래한 경우인데, 산전초음파상 양막대가 부착된 부위를 발견하여 무두개증을 진단할 수 있었으며 매우 드문 경우라 할 수 있다.
저자 등은 성가병원에서 임신 18주 임신부에서, 산전 초음파로 양막대에 의한 무두개증을 진단하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.
