선천성 자궁 기형은 생리통, 무월경, 불임 등의 원인이 될 뿐만 아니라, 임신 초기 유산이나, 조산 등의 임신 합병증의 원인이 된다. 이중 자궁 경부와 질이 동반된 완전 격막 자궁은 Buttram과 Gibbons가 제시한 고전적인 선천성 자궁기형의 분류에 포함되어 있지 않으며 선천성 자궁 기형에서 드문 기형이다. 저자들은 완전 격막 자궁, 이중 자궁 경부, 질 종격을 임신 초기에 경질 초음파로 발견한 후 임신 39주에 분만한 예를 보고하는 바이다.

Congenital uterine anomalies might contribute not only several symptoms such as dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea and infertility, but also poor obstetric outcomes, including first trimester loss and preterm labor. Complete septate uterus with cervical duplication and longitudinal vaginal septum is unusual müllerian anomaly which is not included in the commonly used classification of anomalies. We present a case of complete septate uterus with cervical duplication and longitudinal vaginal septum. She was diagnosed by ultrasonography and MRI during early pregnancy and delivered at 39 weeks via cesarean section for breech presentation.
