Cervical pregnancy is a rare form of ectopic pregnancies. However, total hysterectomy is possible due to massive hemorrhage with a delay of diagnosis. The etiology is unknown, although it is likely to be from previous dilatation and curettage, previous cesarean section, the use of intrauterine device and in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer. Early diagnosis has improved with the use of ultrasound, especially transvaginally and so conservative management is generally undertaken. Therapeutic regimens such as systemic or intraamnionic methotrexate injection, intracardiac KCl injection and cervical cerclage or Foley catheter ballooning after curettage have been used as conservative treatment. We report a case of cervical pregnancy with fetal heart beat, which was treated successfully with ultrasound-guided intraamnionic KCl injection and followed systemic methotrexate.
