결합쌍태아는 드물지만 치명적인 질환으로 조기진단은 산모와 질병의 예후 및 처치에 관해 적절한 상담을 할 수 있게 해주며, 분리수술이 가능한지 여부 및 수술방법을 예측할 수 있게 해 주므로 매우 중요하다. 저자들은 임신 9주에 3차 입체초음파를 사용하여 결합쌍태아를 진단한 예를 경험 하였기에 이를 보고하는 바이다.

Conjoined twins are very rare but lethal condition. Early diagnosis of conjoined twin is very important. It makes it possible to consult the mother about the prognosis whether to pursue the operation or termination. We experienced a case of conjoined twins diagnosed with three dimensional ultrasound at GA 9 weeks. We report the case with a brief review of the literature.
